What inspired you this week? How confused are you really? (Those are just a few topics you could start from).
I am feeling like there is so many things going on in our class right now and sometimes it gets confusing. I think what we are doing is really good but I do think that we need to slow down. Overall, its a fun class and I am excited to see the overall out come of the class.

Self-Concept
Self-Concept refers to your awareness about yourself. It is your picture of yourself that includes your perceptions about the kind of person you are; your view of your worth, value, and possibilities; the way you see yourself in relation to others; the way you ideally would like to be; and the degree to which you accept yourself as you are.
Do you agree with this statement?
Yes I do agree with this statement I do believe that self concept is about how you view yourself and how you see others seeing yourself
What experiences did you have in your formative years that helped shape your self-concept? I was always a child that liked to help and wanted everyone else to be happy I often wanted everyone to be happy and felt that I needed to do things for people in order for them to want me to be around them. I don't know exactly what made me feel this way or why I say myself like this or why I thought others saw me this way but it made be because I am the oldest in my family and I often had to help take care of others in my family such as my younger siblings. However in my later years I have a better self-concept of myself and have gained more respect for myself. I think that furthering my education has defiantly helped me a lot!

Invitation to Change
What struck you as important to remember for change? As I was reading in the book " I never knew I had a Choice" by Corey It stated that "The process of change begins when you are able to recognize and accept certain facets of yourself, even though you may not want to ackowledge some personal characteristic. " This is something that seemed very important to know if you were wanting to make a big change in your life. It will also take alot of determination, effort and time to make a change in your life. There are going to be moments in your life that you ae nots ure you are making the right decision or if you want to follow though on your choice of change but you just need to keep moving forward and not look at the footprints behind you.Personally, are there one or two areas you want to focus on this semester to change or grow? I just want to become more open-minded as a person I want to be accepting of other people that are different than me and I want to be aware of the things I want in life and go after them, letting nothing hold me back. What are some aspects of those areas you aren’t happy about? For the most part I am a very happy person some of the things that I feel that I could work on is having more faith in myself, beliving in my self and also taking the change to learn from others and be accecpting of others who are very different from me learning about their culture of hearing there stories and taking that as a learning experience to grow on.If you could make it ‘perfect’ what would it look like (create a goal) One of the things I want to work on this semester is going out of my shell and meeting new people that are different than I am I recently started doing a service learning project for my Intro to Human Service Counseling class and it is very hard for me at times to know what to say to the residents or how to interact with them. I am trying really hard to find a way to do this and to make myself feel more comfertable.
